This role is for an experienced Franchise Financial Operations Specialist to support a growing private education provider. You will manage lender relationships, ensure U.S. GAAP compliance, onboard franchise partners, and oversee crucial accounting workflows, directly impacting the network's expansion across the United States.
What you need
6 must-haves- Other Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Education Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
- Experience 5+ years of full-cycle accounting, bookkeeping, or financial operations experience, including recent U.S. experience
- Experience Hands-on experience with SBA 7(a) and/or 504 loan processes, including preparing loan packages and financial projections
- Technical skill Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including month-end close, accruals, and reconciliations
- Technical skill Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data validation)
Nice to have
6 bonus- Experience Experience in a franchise network or multi-entity corporate environment, including royalty or franchise fee reconciliation
- Technical skill Familiarity with Expensify
- Technical skill Familiarity with cloud ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks Online)
- Experience Experience supporting franchisees through SBA or commercial loan applications
- Experience Exposure to cross-border reporting with a Canadian parent company or Canadian banking/compliance requirements
- Certification CPA designation or progress toward one
